This prestigious competition featured over 400 entries across 84 categories, judged by a statewide board of experts in North Carolina.
The Williams Project was a Chapel Hill whole house renovation driven by a family’s desire to breathe new life into a house filled with decades of memories. This collaboration between a father and son aimed to create a modern, functional, and welcoming home, while preserving the sense of family heritage.

- New flooring throughout: luxury vinyl and tile installed across the home.
- Trim and shoe molding: updated to complement new flooring.
- Laundry room construction: added a brand-new laundry space in the hallway.
- Electrical upgrades: modern fixtures, can lights, pendants, and ambient lighting throughout.
- Total kitchen remodel: new cabinetry, appliances, backsplash, and tile finishes.
- Primary bathroom renovation: expanded shower, new vanity, floor and wall tiles, and updated electrical.
- Guest bathroom renovation: fully updated finishes and fixtures.
- Complete interior renovation: fresh paint throughout, all-new interior doors (solid core 6-panel doors for bedrooms and bathrooms, French doors for laundry), and a pocket door for the primary bedroom closet.
- Toe-kick registers relocated: for improved aesthetics and functionality.
