Kitchen Remodel Durham

Our latest kitchen remodel in Durham included updating cabinets, lighting, flooring, counter tops and backsplash. We started off the project by safely and efficiently demoing the entire old kitchen. We also scraped the popcorn ceilings and smoothed those out. The homeowner wanted to keep her appliances, a great way to save money during a remodel.

With the help of a cabinet designer, we picked out white, shaker-style cabinets and new hardware, giving the kitchen a bright, clean and modern feel. The homeowners chose soft-close cabinets which are full plywood instead of the lower tier partial plywood option.

The new cabinet design included adding much-needed extra storage space on the back of the peninsula. We also extended the countertop and peninsula 18″ to create more space for cooking and gathering. We lined up the counter with the refrigerator so that the design made aesthetic sense as well as being more functional.

Other custom installs included beautiful quartz countertops, a new sink and faucet, updated pendant lights and a dishwasher which was lacking in the original kitchen. We also installed LVP (luxury vinyl plank) flooring in the kitchen and dining room, which is a great option for many homeowners as it is durable and easy to clean. To continue the bright, clean look we installed a white subway tile backsplash. And to complete the project, we re-installed the stove, refrigerator and microwave and gave the whole space a fresh coat of paint.
