We completed a budget-friendly kitchen remodel for some lovely homeowners in Chapel Hill. The kitchen needed some updating, but we didn’t plan any major changes. On top of coming up with money-saving ideas, while not sacrificing the quality of the project, this renovation was completed in only 3 weeks. We replaced all the stained wood oak cabinets with white Shaker cabinets, complete with soft close drawers. The cabinets included a spice rack and a blind-corner cabinet to the side of the microwave. These small updates add beauty and functionality to this renovation.
We updated the dishwasher, added in an under-mount sink, and farmhouse subway tile for the backsplash. The homeowners opted to keep the refrigerator and stove since they were in good condition, and this helped to save them money on the overall project. We did replace the microwave and vented it out of the house, something that was not done originally.
The kitchen remodel called for a fresh coat of paint, including the hall and half-bath. For electrical updates, we installed can lights, new switches, and receptacles. We also replaced the flooring in the kitchen, hall, and half-bath. A highlight of this Chapel Hill kitchen remodel is the new quartz countertops, which are just beautiful and easy to keep clean. Above the sink, the window remained but we did replace the soffit above the window. It’s amazing what can be accomplished in just 3 weeks!
