Maximizing Space in an ADA Compliant Bathroom

Durham bathroom remodelThis bathroom remodel in Durham, NC took place in a home built in a community of 55+ residents just last year. The homeowners were concerned with the preparation behind the tile and wanted the space upgraded to become ADA compliant. We reconfigured the space to maximize storage while gaining ADA compliance. We enlarged the shower and the now zero-entry door opening so a wheelchair can easily get in and out. After installing marble-like porcelain tile on the shower floor and hand-crafted tile on the walls, we added a rain shower head and grab bars. All the shelving in the bathroom was custom-built from solid wood while the cabinets were made from semi-custom cabinetry. We first installed the cabinets, then had quartz countertops installed with a custom under-mount sink.
We were happy to have the opportunity to maximize the space in this small, ADA-compliant bathroom remodel in Durham. If you or anyone you know is interested in remodeling their bathroom in Durham or its surrounding cities, contact us today for a consultation.
